Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Certiva (certiva.co.za), operated by Certiva (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2026/338141/07), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

Certiva is intended for use by healthcare professionals registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). By subscribing, you confirm that you hold a valid HPCSA registration number. Certiva does not verify registration status.

3. Subscription and Payment

  • Certiva operates on a monthly subscription model at R199 per month.
  • Payments are processed by PayFast. By subscribing, you authorise recurring monthly charges to your selected payment method.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically on the same date each month unless cancelled.
  • All prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at hellocertiva@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period. See our Cancellation Policy for full details.

5. CPD Accreditation

  • Certiva courses are accredited by recognised South African accreditors including SAMA and UCT.
  • Certiva does not guarantee that completed courses will be accepted by the HPCSA or any professional body. It is the user's responsibility to ensure courses meet their specific CPD requirements.
  • Certificates of completion are generated automatically upon passing the assessment. Certiva does not submit CPD records directly to the HPCSA on behalf of users.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with any other person
  • Attempt to circumvent the assessment process
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Reproduce, distribute, or resell course content

7. Intellectual Property

All course content, design, and materials on Certiva are owned by Certiva (Pty) Ltd and are protected by applicable copyright laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Certiva provides educational content only. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical, legal, or professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Certiva (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify subscribers of material changes via email.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
